We went on $5 wrap Wednesdays. We had a buffalo chicken wrap with chips and a Turkey BLT wrap with chips. Nice sized and only $5 each!!! We also ordered fried pickles (spears) which were delicious (5 spears for $4.25).

…..We had planned to get a day pass and hang out at Smiley’s for awhile doing lazer tag, go karts etc..but it kept raining so we decided to drop in for a bite and then take part in a few activities.

We ran into a few places in McHenry that boasted they had the best “something.” Smiley’s was their cheese fries. This is totally true! Their cheese fries are fresh cut then smothered in ranch dressing, bacon and a shredded cheese mix. They serve a spicy ranch with it, that was a tad too vinegar-y for me. But man those cheese fries were delish. Comfort junk food! We ended up ordering a second batch. Shame on us, but we couldn’t resist….

I am a pizza lover and every time I go on vacation I like to explore new pizza joints.
I had already tried 3 other pizza places in the area and was so frustrated and disappointed. They all seem to think that MARINARA Sauce is for pizza. Yuk! One evening we decided to try Smileys Pizza. Finally, a pizza shop that uses a tomato based sauce, NOT marinara!! To all the other pizza places in the area, “Marinara is for pasta, NOT pizza!!” Also, a big shout out to our waitress Amber! She was very fast, friendly and we were well taken care of. Great job Amber and SMILEYS :)

Thank you for the great job you did with our 6th graders on May 29. Everyone had a great time thanks to your organization, and flexibility. I hope we can work together next year to once again give our students this fun experience. Have a great summer!

“We were staying at the Blue Moon Rising and had to find a place to get pizza on Valentine’s Day as the wait anywhere else was ungodly. Wasn’t expecting much but was I wrong! The Pizza crust was a little crispy, yet chewy and sweet. Not so much cheese that it was overpowering but just enough and with a wonderful flavor. Got the Beer Battered Fries which really hit the spot. Just as surprising was my Wife’s Veggie Burger which was cooked just right, perfect toppings and seasonings.”

“We visited the go cart tracks here at Smiley’s. We had so much fun on them. We were very surprized at how much fun they can be. This is definitely the place to go to burn some rubber. We started on the slower track and even it was fun. However, we moved to the faster track where you can definitely get some spin on the tires. I would really recommend stopping at this place. It is the best place to really let your road rage go and have fun doing it.” September 3, 2014

“Fast, friendly service. The taco pizza was great! The basement has an arcade, mini bowling alley, laser tag, and bumper cars. Our waitress gave the kids a Fun Value Card to use in the arcade! The kids were thrilled, very nice employees and great service!” January 16, 2015
